Maybe a dumb question but I was wondering if it was possible for a contender from season 1 could be a part of season 2? I mean as a contender.

Well the season 1 from contender asia only be the guest of honour for the finale match held in Msia late may next year from source info....well THE CONTENDER ( US ONLY ) is here in Spore and doing filming now....It will be aired in early January in AXN....

Eli "Mad Dog" Madigan won two fights to gain entry to the Contender Asia season 2.

Dzabar KO Preacher and Soren KO Zach.

JWP won by points the fight with Sean.

The 24-year-old Asia Pacific professional champion, Eli 'Mad Dog' went up against one of the greatest boxers he could ever face – former world champion Warren Elson – and won making him the last man standing in the Australian elimination and the a chance at purse worth about $450,000, as part of The Contender Asia series in Malaysia next February.

Madigan had the advantage of defeating Jason Scerri ( New South Wales) in a first round TKO ( knee to midsection ) in his first  bout to face Elson who was forced to battle hard against Mick Foley of NSW.

Madigan is planning a short overseas break before preparing for his biggest challenge, as part of 16 of the toughest Muay Thai opponents on the planet in Contender Asia Season Two.

Here are some pics of the fights that took place.

Bruce MacFie and Dzhabar Askerov set the house on fire and in the same way that Soren Mongkontong had previously become victim to Dzhabar’s punching power, out of nowhere Dzhabar unleashed a thunderous right hand to end Bruce MacFie’s dream

Soren Mongkontong met Singapore’s Superstar Ziz Zac. This was truly a world-class display by Soren and credit must go to Zac as he not only fought Soren but 6,000 Australians who were there in full support of the Australian wonder boy. After three rounds of explosive muaythai, the referee stopped the fight as Zac received a cut.

The Contender Asia Qualifier was pure adrenalin. Eli Madigan wins to enter Contender Asia Season Two to represent Australia, and follow in JWP’s footsteps.

if all these fighters from season 1 are able to be in the qualifiers why isnt YOD fairtex their he is the winner and if all the others can qualify surley he can
