no. they're probably allowed to fight. plus final is soon (april). so fighters fighting close to then will be suspect. many will probably have rematches at the same show right
I think it's different for Contender Asia than the original Contender cause in the boxing series I don't think the guys were allowed to fight between the end of shooting the series and the live finale, which did span a couple of months. I don't know if you guys watched it/or remember, but one fighter committed suicide after the series was shot and some people criticized the Contender for contributing to it cause they would not let the boxers fight during that time.
But for Contender Asia, they probably have different rules that do allow the guys to fight during that time. It could be because the muay thai fighters tend to fight much more frequently than the boxers do (some of them only fight two or three times a year). I think not allowing the Contender Asia guys to fight for that many months would have detracted them from their regular fight schedules and lead to too much ring inactivity.
All in all, a lot of the guys do seem to be fighting lately but I don't think that means they won't be in the final. I think it's just so they can stay active in the ring. And as jochoir said, a lot of them will probably be fighting that night anyway in re-matches, even if they're not in the final match.
i know the show was shot a while ago but im just saying fighting a month out of the finale is really risking injury which isn't so good if you're one of the finalist.

Definitely agree with you. Seems strange that the producers would let the guys fight so close to the finale if they're not in the final fight cause doesn't that kind of give away, to anybody keeping track, which fighters won't be in it?
Countdown
5707 days, 13 hours, 4 minutes since the final episode.
